Langley District Parent Advisory Council will award $500 to this year’s successful applicant

Langley DPAC established the Richard Bulpitt Educational Award in 2001 in honour of retired Langley Superintendent Richard Bulpitt. Mr. Bulpitt was a dedicated educator, devoted to the students of Langley, and a strong supporter of Parent Involvement in education.

This year’s essay question:

“How has parent involvement influenced your education, both in school and at home?”

 

MEND (Mind, Exercise, Nutrition..Do it!) program available in Langley District

We are one of five districts that have been chosen by the Ministry of Health to partake in the MEND (Mind, Exercise, Nutrition..Do it!) program at the Langley District.

This is a new family healthy based healthy living program that is free for overweight children aged 7 - 13 years old and their families. The program begins April 16, 2013 and will be based out of Lynn Fripps Elementary and runs Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings for 10 weeks.
